So our second concert got snowed out last month. But in the true fashion of “The SNOW must go on”, (I couldn’t resist) we did not cancel and hoped someone would ‘ weather the weather’ …….. two people showed up !! : ) ………… thanks Crystal and Jamie.
This Sunday, February 21st, will be our third concert. We have two new tunes. An original arrangement of “Ain’t no Sunshine” and an original called “You Could be in Love”.
My latest Cd “The Einstein Concert” has me talking to my dog, Beau, at the end of the first song, “One Wine One Rose Prologue”. So I thought I’d show a picture of my mixed Lab ……. part Lab part Lion.
I Love my Dog !!!!!!

Emerson Doyle, STK aka Stephen Kaye and 35 Days in May had our first concert at the “Mad-Dad Cafe” on January 17th. The Mad-Dad Cafe is located in the NIA Studio. It was by invitation only, since we can only accommodate 15-20 people (at the present moment). The response by the people in attendance was great……… so we are putting on another concert on January 31st … invitation only again. If you would like to attend please let me know at jeff@newindieartists.com
We have one song partially complete, “Steal the Breeze”, so here it is again. Also, here is a song from my latest CD “The Einstein Concert” called Big Al.

Math Theory
Matter of Faith
By Jeff Kaye
If you add any series of numbers and then add the digits of that sum, it will be the same single digit no matter how you construct the original series of numbers.
I will use today’s date as an example.
12312009 is 1+2+3+1+2+0+0+9 = 18 now add 1+8 and you get 9
Now construct any combination of 12312009
123+12+009 = 144 …….. 1+4+4 = 9
12+31+2009 = 2052 ……. 2+0+5+2 = 9
1231 + 2009 = 3240 ……. 3240 ….. 3+2+4+0 = 9
Also,
You can reverse the numbers:
21+13+9002=18 …. 1+8=9
or any order:
23+12+91=126 ….1+2+6= 9
This explains the link between the microcosm and macrocosm.
How ???? ……… is truly a Matter of Faith.
So here is a song from “The Einstein Concert” that is relevant to this explanation of the universe.

I am currently working with three great new artists.
Emerson Doyle (vocals), Stephen Kaye – rap artist (aka SK) and Jeff Holman on drums.
Here is a pre-mix version of a song Emerson and Stephen wrote with me adding my own touch as well called “Steal the Breeze”. We will be recording live drums in a week or two. This mp3 has pre-recorded drums

After getting so many compliments on the Einstein Concert Cd, I decided to do another Cd with mostly acoustic piano. Right now the title of the Cd is “America the Beautiful”.
Here is a picture from the Einstein Concert CD

I have been following hypebot.com and have found it beneficial in learning about the current landscape of the music business.

It’s mid September and the kids are back to school… And so is Jeff Kaye of 35 Days In May! Jeff has been asked by the Fairfax County to begin fundraising with Arts & Education in Concert to return to the school system in support of safe and drug free programs in the county.

35 Days In May is currently collaborating with Dave Clark of From The Ashes of My Sins on musical cues being sent to LA music supervisors. A cue is a fragment of music used in scoring a motion picture or TV/radio show episode. They are usually used as backing music for things like main titles, credits, scene transitions or underneath dialog to add drama or intensity.
So… there’s a chance you might hear a little Bobo Bazinsky in your Blind Date or a little Cirrus Surreal in your Real World. Stay Tuned!

We’d like to think everyone for coming out on Monday night to The Blue Iguana. Jeff & Crystal performed a selection of jazz standards and classic tunes that the audience loved.
Jeff also played some selections from the 35 Days in May catalog, including work from the new album, The Einstein Concert. Check out the Music page for some samples!
Our web guy came out and took some pictures. Here are a few of them. Check out our Flickr for more!
